For one sweet moment,
Just let go,
Of the million thoughts,
Dancing around,
In your mind.
Though enticing,
They will wear you out.
In truth,
You are not,
The captain of any ship,
Deciding where to go.
Instead,
You are,
The vast ocean,
Of limitless,
Consciousness.
And,
Really,
There is no need,
To try,
And control,
The stunning beauty,
And mystical nature,
Of who you,
Really are.
This is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMeditation takes me to that space when I can appreciate the true nature of consciousness and allows me to just to be. Throughout my days I often have to take quiet times to go back to what I had in meditation. Ultimately, I think that we are very fortunate to have Gurumayi's guidance which gives us the grace to be able to surrender and to feel protected as we go through life.
It's lovely to read your words, Julie!
WONDERFUL! Thank you for sharing
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe 'letting go' is the biggest benefit of meditating, for me. Outside of those calm and focused times, I'm not always very good at just letting go and letting it be.
ReplyDeleteVery nice.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love the imagery of being a limitless ocean of possibilities. Gorgeous piece *hugs*
ReplyDelete"Not the captain of any ship deciding where to go".... some days this is harder to remember than others. Thanks for your beautiful words.
